Spending a vacation in a picturesque place is a wonderful thing to do, indeed. The memories of local cuisine and architectural sights keep warming our hearts for a long time after. But sometimes we get the brightest impressions not from excursions or exotic views but from hotels where the rooms don’t look like standard ones.

We at Bright Side are sure that staying in a highly creative hotel is a way to make your vacation unforgettable. And the experience of the following Internet users proves it.

“My hotel phone in Iceland has a special button that will wake you up if there are northern lights in the sky.”

“9 laps around my hotel floor = 1 mile”

“This is striped carpet on some hotel stairs. It’s hard to use, even after 2 weeks.”

“This closet in a German hotel has several warnings, and I still almost hit my head.”

“I’ve never seen such a blunt hotel pool sign before.”

“The banisters at my hotel were held up by little metal men.”

“My hotel locked up its soaps so you don’t steal them.”

“A bathroom in a 1930s Art Deco-style hotel”

“A hotel concierge just knocked on my door and handed me these without saying a word and walked away before I even realized what she was giving me.”

“I’m staying at a Residence Inn hotel in Colorado and they stock the salt and pepper shakers with small packets.”

“The hotel I’m staying at has a pancake machine.”

“I ordered chicken nuggets in a hotel in Saudi Arabia.”

“Stayed in a hotel recently and this beauty was in the hotel lobby.”

“The hotel I’m staying at uses shadows to show the room numbers.”

“The hotel was nice enough to give my doggie his own bed during our stay.”

Have you ever stayed in hotels that impressed you so much you still can’t forget them?
