Hamamat used to have a good life, living in the city with her husband and 2 children. But one day everything changed. The young mother decided not to give up. Instead, she managed to start over again and established a shea butter company. Ultimately, it turned out to be a huge success.

At Bright Side, we always get inspired by purposeful people who make lemonade out of their lemons. That’s why we decided to tell you the story of Hamamat, who will share her motivation with you too.

After her ex-husband left her to start a new life and family, Hamamat was left alone in the city with her children. She had some savings but living there was becoming too expensive for her and her money started to drain pretty quickly. This was really heart-breaking for a single mother and she realized she needed to do something with her situation.

Hamamat mentioned that at that time she had nothing but pure passion. She wanted to change her life so that the next year she wouldn’t be in the same position.

The mother decided to take her children and return to her village in Ghana, to her family, that she hasn’t seen for many years. And it turned out to be an awesome idea as everyone was so happy to see her. They started doing everything together again: cooking and eating, sleeping under the moon, and simply spending time doing daily activities.

She felt really loved and inspired and decided to share her new life on social media. Though, friends who she knew from her old life in the city started laughing at her and even called her names.

Her family in the village had always made their own shea butter. Once, Hamamat decided to record the process and share it on her Instagram. The next day she realized that her video had gained a lot of popularity and positive responses. This is where Hamamat decided to learn how to make it too.

This mother created her own brand called Hamamat African Beauty. Together with the other people involved, they produce handmade shea butter and sell it. They get lots of orders from across the world! Her efforts in this area were quickly noticed and it even landed her a place on the Africa economic forum.

She was also recognized for her astonishing beauty. Before, she had all but stopped her modeling career. Now she decided to start it all over again, which brings her even more supporters in everything she does.

But, her activities don’t end here. Apart from modeling, producing, and selling shea butter, the ambitious mother opened the first Shea Butter Museum in her village. In addition to this, she allows visitors to enjoy a shea butter spa.

Hamamat went through a lot of pain and despair, but she always wanted to stay strong. She still believes that her children were (and are) her biggest support and motivation. She wanted to give the best to them and be their role model, someone they can look up to when they grow up. And as far as we can see, her efforts have started paying off big time!
