While fans of the saga were extremely happy about that union, Kristen slowly started opening up about her preferences. She made that crystal clear when she started dating Alicia Cargile and other women between 2014 and 2019. However, Kristen’s love life took a new turn when she met Dylan Meyer.

She and Dylan Meyer actually met on set in 2013.

Kristen and screenwriter Dylan Meyer met for the first time in 2013 on the set of a movie, but faith brought them back together at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2019. The 2 clicked at that time, and months after that, they were seen kissing on a street curb in New York City.

The actress was so impressed by her soon-to-be girlfriend from the moment she saw her again at that birthday party. On a talk show, she recalled when she saw her and said, “I hadn’t seen her in 6 years, and then she walked up at a friend’s birthday party, and I was like, where have you been and why have I not known you?”

The Twilight star poured her heart out to Dylan after 2 weeks of dating.

It didn’t take long for Kristen to express her feelings to Dylan. The actress shared, “The first time I told her I loved her, it was really late and we were in some bar and her friends were there, and they walked out, and I was just like, ‘Oh, man, I’m so in love with you.’ Done.” She added that it happened only 2 weeks after they started dating.

Her move wasn’t impulsive at all, but rather, a spontaneous reaction from someone deeply in love. Kristen made another big statement when she said that she couldn’t wait to propose to her, that she has plans on how to do it but wouldn’t share them now. This statement was also given during the interview, which took place 2 months after they started dating.

They don’t shy away from showing their affection toward each other.

The 2 lovebirds wear their hearts on their sleeves, and it started in 2019 when Dylan shared an Instagram post where the 2 were kissing lovingly. She added as a caption: “Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police.”

The screenwriter has shared many Instagram posts with her girlfriend ever since, and Kristen doesn’t miss a chance to talk about Dylan. They are so proud of each other and show everyone the love and affection they carry for one another.

Dylan popped the question — they are officially engaged.

Even though Kristen was the one talking about a marriage proposal back in 2019, Dylan was the one who ended up popping the question. They didn’t talk about how the proposal went, but it must’ve been as magical as their love story.

Kristen said, “So I was like, ’Wait, well, I’m not the one for sure.’ And so I was kind of joking for a bit, like, ’No, I want to be the one to propose, like, I want to be proposed to’ and then she just grabbed that bowl and made it happen. It was so cute.”
