Whoever made these didn't register the fact that these Disney "princesses" didn't start as princesses. They were hard working women, HARD WORK. Like, labor. And their diets were different. Simple. So, these bodies don't make sense.
An Artist Redesigns Disney Characters Giving Them Realistic Bodies
Prepare for an enchanting transformation! Wyethe Smallish has created a wonderful, diverse collection of fuller-figured princes and princesses. These reimagined characters challenge traditional beauty norms most delightfully.
1. Belle
Belle proves that intelligence and beauty come in all sizes. She has already taught us once to look beyond appearances and appreciate the true essence of a person.
2. Princess Aurora
In a dreamlike twist, this sleeping beauty awoke to a world where every body type is appreciated! Now with a fuller figure, Aurora demonstrates that you don’t need to be skinny to captivate kingdoms or win over charming princes.
3. Ariel
She doesn't have to be overweight for it to be "realistic"...
Gone are the days of only slender princesses under the sea! Ariel is all set to dive into new waves of self-confidence and embrace body positivity.
4. Elsa
A Scandinavian princess might be close to this but also albe of splitting you with an ax
The ice queen is turning up the heat with her bold new appearance! Swapping her slim frame for a more curvaceous one, Elsa encourages us to let go of old beauty ideals.
5. Cinderella
Girl was up from dawn to dusk cleaning a mansion, tending a farm, and fed scraps... Plus, they wore corsets with gowns, so what's going on?
Our favorite princess with the lost glass slipper now has a bit more to flaunt. Rocking her beautiful gown, she shows that you don’t need to be petite to be the star of the ball!
6. Princess Tiana
Worked with a lot of black women, and some black women are just rail-skinny and the original Tianna here looks curvy by comparison.
Meet Tiana, the determined and industrious princess who’s breaking new ground! In her stunning green attire, she exemplifies that beauty encompasses a variety of shapes and sizes.
7. Jasmine
Okay everything was looking fine until that last picture when she loke gained 10 pounds. The artwork isn't just lacking in skill but it's also really inconsistent.
Check out Jasmine, our adventurous Arabian princess soaring on her magic carpet with a fuller figure! Decked out in her signature turquoise attire, she’s setting an inspiring example that ruling a kingdom doesn’t require a slim physique.
8. Meg
Hey look I drew this does that mean it has to be a realistic character
Look at Meg, the Greek goddess! She’s proving that you don’t have to be super skinny to save the day and stand up to powerful gods.
9. Mulan
Is there a good reason you added more definition to the jaw? It makes her face look just a little too much like a man's and a woman doesn't bulk up that much unless she's a body builder. You can add the muscle but her small figure was accurate. Her shoulders shouldn't be so wide.
Mulan’s strength, determination, and her new curvy figure prove that heroines can look different and still be powerful. It teaches us that true bravery comes from inside, no matter your shape or size.
10. Belle And Adam
What is the difference? Honest question.
Adam, our prince, has embraced a fuller body, teaching us that fairy tale endings aren’t about having a slim, royal look. Their story challenges stereotypes and encourages us to accept and love ourselves and others. It’s a reminder that real beauty comes from within.
11. Prince Eric
But he worked on a ship, prince of not. Update could be him in 10-15 years after sitting on the throne but not in his prime
How about is one is Belle And Adam in real life with ai
MEN ARE ALLOWED TO BE FIT!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ERIC!!! >:(
You only see the problem when its a man these drawing a skinny shaming
thats an entirely new charachter 💀
He didn’t need to gain 70 pounds 😶
So being fit & in shape is unrealistic? Good to know 🙄
I wonder if the artist realizes they are actually body shaming by claiming fit and thin bodies are not realistic?
AMEN!!!
There exists people in the world who are actually fit. I think the artist is projecting
I guess Matt Bomer isn’t real then
I guess strong, defined jawlines are unrealistic too? Roy Scheider was just a figment of my imagination?
OH Yeah… right! I forgot all about that scene in the little mermaid where the sailors have to pry Prince Eric away from his D&D campaign….
He should be musculine, who are you to say what's more realiistic
Okay I genuinely laughed at this one lol 🤣
His face reminded me of flounder not being rude
Why did his nose gain weight?
You got Eric... then you got Eric's goofy cousin. Yall should've left this one alone. Not everyone was overweight. I understand with the women's stick like waists, but this was not necessary.
Neither was you're comment
so you believe the obese, lumpy version is more realistic for a man who was previously fit, muscular, and had a defined jaw line. i guess its more realistic for him to hord food now too 😂
Yeah I do but at least I'm cheerful about it
Now look, you all didn’t need to go this far. This man was fine just as he was 😂
I think Eric's body was already realistic.
Seriously! Did the artist forget he was a sailor!?
Disgusting . These holly weirdos have to ruin everything to fit that fruit agenda. Next they will make them both a diff race
Oh shut up! You're an idiot
why. give me a single reason. you dont know the people behind these coments
Honestly I think he's better in the makeover pic
Gross… I like manly men with extra weight, but pudgy Eric here looks like the type of dude who writes Star Wars fan fiction….
He reminds me of Peter Griffin 😂
lol-
This is bull 💩
Why a guy can't be pudgy?
He can but Eric is a prince, Him being a lil chubby isn't "realistic "
oh sweetie, hes more than "a lil chubby"...
A guy can be pudgy, but a sailor on a ship cannot be pudgy. You HAVE to be in shape for that job. Being out of shape could get you seriously injured or killed on a ship. I guess you could say he has to be in ship shape. 😏
Haha
It's accurate 😂😂😂
I see men all the time looking like the original. Most men of this age group work out and keep their bodies fit.
Despite finding the rest of these fine so far, I don't really like this one, personally. Many men commonly have a very angular jawline, and it has little to do with their weight. Maybe the degree of his angular jaw is a bit overdone in the original. That's just my non-artist take though. The rest of it, adding a bit of weight to him, I guess is fine. I think somewhere in the middle would be what I would prefer personally, but I'm not really an artist, so I wouldn't know.
I dunno, I've also seen plenty of men with the softer jawline of the edit, and they weren't particularly overweight either. Not every man has a chiseled lantern jaw and an "inverted triangle" torso and it's just as important to show boys that diverse body types can be heroic too.
He's already realistic enough
Disgusting healthy person! Give him more cookies 🍪🍪!
When did bring healthy become disgusting
Why can't people just leave Disney cartoons and rides alone. Things have been fine for 100 years so why change it now. People are overly sensitive to everything these days.!
Because many people have body dysmorphia, or eating disorders. Many girls have it because they were told that those princesses were how women should look. Many boys also feel they have to fit the "princely" mold. "Things have been fine" no, people have ignored the issue. Kids starving themselves to look like princesses and surgeries to have sharper jaws is not "fine".
This part right here, thank you!!!
So we're going to tell tubby Tommy it's OK to have neck rolls and a barrel belly? Yeah, OK, totally fine, definitely not dangerous.
Sorry, but overweight kids aren't important for the SJW and don't deserve sympathy or care. Maybe in a couple of years, trying to help them becomes trend and then they say something about it.
They aren't changing the movies though... this is just an artist's interpretation. If you don't like it, then who cares? I'd understand being upset if they changed the movies, but nobody is doing that.
100 years ago was Jim Crow were we fine then? Some things are not fine the way they are lol ….i do believe in keeping classics the way they are as much as possible but if it’s going to be replayed in modern world and it’s detrimental from back then world than it needs to be tweaked and altered point blank ! PERIOD
Idk if bringing up Jim Crow and other detrimental parts of history from 100 years ago will do much good here - mentalities like Carol's value tradition and "preserving history" over any effect it has on real people. They'd waste endless real and virtual breath defending THINGS like The Song Of The South or some dumb statues celebrating the losing side of a war fought about slavery before they'd ever come to the defense of any real live actual people who feel negatively impacted by the aforementioned.
How sensitive of you.
they did him dirtyyyyy 😭😂
okay not everyone needs to be overweight. he looked perfectly normal before
Check out Prince Eric with his new look! He’s showing us that you don’t have to have a slim body to be a true hero.
12. Rapunzel
this makes sense since she's been locked in a tower her whole life, she can't have an amazing fitness routine
Rapunzel is rocking her new princess look with her flowing locks. She’s proving that climbing a tower of confidence doesn’t require a slender figure.
Due to contemporary beauty norms, styling a plus-size body can be more challenging. However, one woman stepped up to help by sharing smart and innovative tips on how to enhance the look of any outfit for a fuller figure.

DOES EVERYONE HATE FUN? THEY ALL LOOKED ANOREXIC BEFORE LEAVE THE ARTIST ALONE AND JUST APPRECIATE THE ART PLEASE
Yes, many -- if not most -- female characters in cartoons and anime are drawn with unrealistic proportions. Not exaggerating them would be remarkable but I would applaud the effort if there was any real artistry involved. All the artist did was thicken the waistlines and widen the bust on some of them. There's no extra definition of the curves and the few changes to the faces are frankly awful. They didn't do most of these princesses any favors. If you're going to make them full figured, do it right and respect the source material. An AI would have done a better job giving them life like figures.
These are fantasy films. Why can't we enjoy movies for the fun and escapism they provide. Why must we tare everything down with reality.
This isn’t more realistic it’s just fatter. Let’s wake up and admit our country has an issue with obesity and we need to address it. Stop validating unhealthy lifestyles to patronize the masses. Stop watching movies and go for a walk
None of these characters were created in the twenty first century and it's common fact that the older you go back in time, the thinner the women are because no one was too busy faking inclusivity and pro obesity
