Now that the actress has filed for divorce, it is reported that Tom is “set to pounce” on Vergara to pick up where they left off.

10 years after Tom and Sofía dated, the America’s Got Talent judge went on to marry Joe Manganiello in 2015, and the pair quickly became one of Hollywood’s power couples. Unfortunately, it was recently revealed that the two have filed for divorce, and it seems that this news didn’t leave Cruise unaffected.

Speaking of their 2005 relationship, a source noted, “They do have that history already, even if it was more of a brief dalliance than a fully-fledged romance.”

The source went on to explain that the pair “had a special time together partying in the Hollywood Hills and having a blast.” However, as per the source, “Sofía wasn’t really giving out the signals back then that she wanted anything long-term, so it petered out in a totally amicable fashion, and they remained friends.”

A year after dating Sofía, Tom went on to marry Katie Holmes, with whom he has a daughter named Suri. The pair called it quits in 2012. And despite having been married, it’s claimed that the Hollywood action star allegedly didn’t truly get over the Modern Family actress.

The source went on to claim that Sofía “checks almost every box for Tom.” Supposedly, he believes that she is the perfect partner for him and that together they can become Hollywood’s newest power couple.

However, it’s not clear whether Vergara is ready to commit to a new relationship this soon, as sources have reported that the star is “going to let her hair down and party for a while,” and that she would be ready to start dating again “once the divorce is finalized.”
