7 Celebs Share Their Natural Beauty Secrets That You’ll Be in a Rush to Try

year ago

Celebrities always somehow manage to look so beautiful everywhere they go. It’s not because they’re celebrities, but because they have some unique beauty hacks that they use on a regular basis. Although they do have professional makeup artists and hairstylists, nothing can really beat natural remedies.

We at Bright Side invite you to check out these celebrity beauty routine hacks that can help you shake up your look.

1. Blake Lively uses mayonnaise as her hair mask.

Blake Lively isn’t a fan of eating mayonnaise with her sandwiches, but she surely uses it for other purposes like her hair. She struggled a lot with her split ends and dealing with dry hair, so she began reading about mayonnaise and got her mom’s wonderful advice on it as well.

Her mom used to put oil or mayo on the bottom half of her hair before hopping into the shower. “That way, when she would shampoo, the soap wouldn’t strip the bottom of the hair and dry it out, making it brittle.” Mayonnaise is made of oil, lemon juice, and egg yolks, which are great for reducing frizzy hair. It can also strengthen your hair, and some studies even suggest that it can be a natural lice treatment.

2. Cardi B uses onion water for her hair.

Cardi B loves to mix and match things when it comes to her beauty routine, even for her daughter, Kulture. She washes her hair with boiled onion water, and although it sounds like it might smell like onions, it’s in fact odorless. It can make your hair super shiny and glowing.

If you use this technique on a regular basis, it can not only nourish your hair naturally, but it can also help your battle with “premature greying.” However, it might not work for everyone, as some people have a very sensitive scalp that can get irritated.

3. Sienna Miller uses ketchup as hair bleach.

This beautiful actress has had her fair share of hair disasters, like when she decided to change her hair color to brown using henna. “That was awful, actually. I used henna, thinking I was being all organic and clever, and it was totally impenetrable — I just couldn’t get it back to normal.”

However, Sienna found that ketchup was her solution to get her hair color back on track. She used ketchup as hair bleach for a year and a half to get rid of the green color, and it made a huge difference for her. She put it on her hair under heat until it went back to normal.

4. Chloë Grace Moretz uses olive oil as face wash.

Chloë says that her skin has not always been as flawless as it is now, because she had bad cystic acne during her teen years. Thanks to her healthy diet and other beauty products, she got her skin back and beautiful. However, one of the main ingredients she uses for her skin is olive oil, which she applies as face wash.

Simply, put a warm and moist cloth on your face for 20 seconds, massage the olive oil into your skin, and finally remove the oil with another warm cloth. You may even use other oils, like coconut oil, if you are not a fan of olives.

5. Julianne Hough uses turmeric as toothpaste.

Julianne simplified our teeth struggles by revealing a new ingredient that is literally in our kitchen. Turmeric may be a spice that is used to add color to your food, but it can also be used to whiten your teeth. Surprisingly, it doesn’t make them yellow, but white and shiny! It can even brighten up your skin. She also claims that she has an “obsession” with clean toothbrushes, and keeps them all in a cupboard so that anyone who comes to her house has access to a toothbrush.

6. Nicole Kidman uses cranberry juice as a color-safe shampoo.

Nicole Kidman doesn’t really like going to stylists for her hair, so she uses her own at-home remedy to keep her hair color fresh. She is naturally a redhead, and to maintain her natural look, she washes her hair in cranberry juice.

Just start off by washing your hair. Rinse it with cranberry juice, and then comb it. Leave it on for 45 minutes and then wash it off. You can leave it on for longer or shorter depending on how red your hair is.

7. Shailene Woodley uses clay as toothpaste.

Shailene Woodley loves to make things herself, including toothpaste. She mixes 3 tablespoons of bentonite clay with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and crushed mint leaves, in addition to a pinch of salt. She gathers her own spring water from the mountains every month, goes to a farm to get food, and even makes her own body lotions, face oils, and medicines. She is one free-spirited woman!
