A Young New Mom Faces Criticism After Bringing Her Kid to Work and Her Answer to Haters Is Inspiring
Renilen Casagan Tingson became a viral sensation for her braveness. As a mom of a 2-year-old daughter and a teacher, she needs to bring her kid to the classroom, teaching great classes while looking after her toddler. But even so, some people are criticizing her behavior.
Renilen Casagan Tingson found herself in a challenging position when her maternity leave finished. With difficulty finding someone trustworthy to take care of her daughter, she decided to bring her kid to the classroom where she works as a teacher.
Renilen shared a candid post on her Facebook page sharing her experience, calling it an “unfiltered moment of a working mom.” With an album of photos of her in the classroom with her daughter, she felt the need to address some people who questioned her: “How can you work if you always carry your daughter?”
“I’m not a bad employee because I’m a mother, and I’m not a bad mother because I’m an employee,” she bravely shared. Renilen also stated that her students always knew she would take her daughter to work and always made sure not to neglect her duty as a teacher.
She says she’s proud of herself. “I grew up without a caring parent. I know the feeling, and I don’t want my kid to experience that either,” the 28-year-old mentioned in an interview. And she also left a message to all the moms out here: “YOU are not considered less of a worker if you’re a mother”.
Mothers often show immense emotional strength in the face of challenges and adversity and are constantly proving to be the strongest people in the world. Recently, a 26-year-old mom became the first mom champion in martial arts and also shared a message for those who didn’t believe in her potential, “For those who doubted... Never underestimate.”
