Elon Musk has recently shared details about his relationship with his 19-year-old daughter in his upcoming biography. This candid revelation sheds light on the personal struggles and complexities that Musk experiences in his family, an aspect of his life often overshadowed by his groundbreaking work in technology and innovation.

Elon Musk is well-known for his significant contributions to space exploration, electric vehicles, and renewable energy. However, insights into his personal life offer a more relatable perspective on the billionaire entrepreneur. Twitter’s CEO has had a complex family history, having ten children with three different women.

He first married Justine Wilson in 2000, and sadly, their first son passed away at the age of 10 weeks. They later had twin boys in 2004 and welcomed triplets in 2006, but eventually divorced in 2008. In 2010, Musk married actress Talulah Riley, and their relationship had its ups and downs. They separated in 2012, briefly reconciled the following summer, and eventually divorced in 2016.

In April 2018, Musk began a relationship with singer Grimes, who is 16 years younger than him. Their relationship had its ups and downs as well and included the birth of two children together. Interestingly, just before their daughter, Exa, was born, Musk also became a father to twins with an executive from his firm.

Parenting 9 children is undeniably challenging, and Elon Musk faced particular difficulties with one of his eldest children, Vivian Jenna Wilson, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Justine Wilson. Vivian, formerly known as Xavier, underwent a significant personal transformation. According to an excerpt, at 16, Vivian texted the wife of Musk’s brother, revealing, “Hey, I’m transgender, and my name is now Jenna. Don’t tell my dad.”

In June 2020, the court approved Vivian’s request to legally change her name to Vivian Jenna Wilson. During this process, she decided to adopt her mother, Justine Musk’s, maiden name. The court also recognized her gender as female and ordered the issuance of a new birth certificate to reflect these changes.

Vivian’s statement, expressing her desire to no longer be associated with her father, Elon Musk, suggests that there may be ongoing personal and familial complexities within their relationship.

“I’ve made many overtures,” Musk said, “but she doesn’t want to spend time with me.” Elon had acknowledged that his relationship with his daughter had changed. However, he emphasized having “very good relationships with all the others.” This suggests that despite challenges, he maintains positive connections with his other children.

On Father’s Day, about a month after his daughter’s petition, Elon Musk wrote “I love all my kids so much” in a social media message. This public statement underscores his affection for his children and his willingness to openly share his feelings.

Even though he’s had some tough times with his daughter, Elon Musk has shown he’s a great dad, especially in those cute photos where he’s playing with his adorable son.
