Pedro Pascal Celebrated His 48th Birthday, and Here Are 7+ Truths From His Lie Detector Test
Move over, Hollywood heartthrobs! Pedro Pascal has taken the crown as the ultimate “daddy,” and we’re here for it. With his adorable goofiness, genuine sincerity, heart-melting care, and emotional depth, fans can’t help but swoon over him. And since the man of the hour just turned 48, it’s time to pop the confetti and celebrate the actor by sharing some truths about him.
Not long ago, Pedro Pascal took a lie detector test.
“Just before you put it on me, I just wanna say I’m innocent. It’s fine. Take me to jail, I could use the break,” joked Pedro Pascal as he started Vanity Fair’s lie detector interview. While other stars become stressed and go into full-on panic mode while taking the test, Pascal couldn’t stop chuckling the entire time.
The first question he was asked was if he considered himself to be a heartthrob.
Pascal tried to outsmart the polygraph by saying that he didn’t consider himself a heartthrob, but he was caught right away and confessed that he thinks he is, in fact, a heartthrob. “That’s the truth. I’m a heartthrob.”
The follow-up question was whether it was a lot of pressure being a heartthrob, to which the actor proudly replied that it was not.
He looks at Instagram accounts devoted to him being a heartthrob.
When Pascal feels down, he revealed that he will sometimes scroll through Instagram fan pages devoted to him, and his favorite one is called the Pedro Pascal Fan Account.
Pascal was once an award-winning swimmer.
However, once he got into drama class, he quit. And regarding the question of whether or not he considers himself a quitter, he said, “No.” He doesn’t plan on going back to swimming, as he’s too lazy.
He waited tables when he was trying to make it as an actor.
However, Pascal revealed that he was not a good server for many different reasons. “If I liked you, I liked you, and if I didn’t, I didn’t. And that didn’t necessarily go well with having a bunch of customers,” he revealed.
He also shared that he was fired often, close to 10 times or so.
He doesn’t think he’s sexier than Michael B. Jordan.
In 2020, Pascal was named one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive. And when he was asked, “Do you think you’re sexier than this man, 2020’s Sexiest Man Alive, Michael B. Jordan?” he revealed that Jordan is a good-looking dude and he doesn’t stand a chance.
But when he was asked about 2021’s Sexiest Man Alive, Paul Rudd, he said he thinks they are equally handsome. “He’s got beautiful eyes. Maybe I’ve got, maybe, a better smile. I would say we’re neck in neck. You have a great smile, Paul Rudd. You’re gorgeous.” And he was telling the truth!
Pascal is active on Twitter, and he sometimes searches for his name.
He doesn’t think that searching his own name on Twitter makes him self-absorbed, but rather, weak. According to him, the strangest thing somebody has said about him on social media was that he “looked like Orlando Bloom if he was hit in the face with a shovel.” But sometimes he agrees with the statement.
Pascal considers himself a bigger “daddy” than his friend, Oscar Isaac.
“I’m a bigger daddy than him. I’m older than him. Although he’s a real daddy. He’s got kids and I don’t, but daddy is a state of mind, you know what I’m saying? I’m your daddy,” Pascal shared.
