It’s no secret that we all have a soft spot for celebrity relationships, and reading cute quotes about love and affection makes us wonderstruck. These beautiful stars are lucky to have found the husbands of their dreams, men who know how to value them without any filter. Even though some are incredible actors, they seem genuine and pure when expressing their love for their wives.

1. Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Levin

This lovely couple met in 2003 on the set of a supernatural flick, Gothika, but it wasn’t love at first sight. Levin thought he was “interesting but weird” and saw him more as someone’s teacher or older brother. Fast forward, and Levin decided to follow her heart and give Downey Jr. a chance because they both felt a spark between them. The actor had utterly changed his old ways for Levin because their love was so strong, and she inspired him to be better, as he says, “I guess the only way to explain it is that I’ve become more like her.”

2. Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso

To Damon and Barroso, the secret to a happy marriage is commitment, keeping your promises as often as possible, and putting family first. “We have a 2-week rule. I’m not away for more than 2 weeks. I think you need to be with the person you love as much as possible. My wife is my soulmate. I don’t like being apart from her.”

Damon is so head over heels for his wife that he finds the idea of being single terrifying. “I found the right person, and it was like getting struck by lightning — literally, everything changed in my life. My life is so much easier because of my wife and my marriage. Everything makes sense.”

3. Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

When these 2 lovebirds first met, Jonas fell on one knee. “And I put my drink down, get on one knee — this is in front of a bunch of people — and I say, ’You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.” Although it wasn’t an actual proposal, they began dating, and, according to Chopra, their first date was very “respectful” because her mom was in the house.

Jonas knew he wanted to marry Chopra after only 3 dates, and he proposed in July 2018. “She walks into the chateau, and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.”

4. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman

To Urban, meeting Kidman and getting married “wasn’t life-changing, it was life-beginning. It was, like, ’Okay, life starts.’” They met at the 2005 G’Day USA gala, and although it was love at first sight, neither of them thought the other was interested.

“She’s my best friend. I’ve never had anybody on the planet that knows me as well as she does. I would love to have been worthy of somebody like Nic, but I was a long way from it when we met. Somehow we just found there was love there, real love,” Urban gushed.

5. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

These 2 met in 2011 when they played love interests in the movie, The Place Beyond the Pines. Although they generally keep their relationship private, Gosling shared something meaningful about his wife, Eva. He explained, “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with.” He also claims that the only quality he looks for in a woman is that she’s Eva Mendes. “There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”

6. Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan

Fox and Pollan met in 1985, and they were an on-screen couple on the sitcom, Family Ties, but they began dating later in 1988 while working on the movie, Bright Lights, Big City.

Fox sweetly talks about his wife: “She puts up with me. She doesn’t cut me any slack, which is great. She’s honest, affectionate, kind, smart, and she’s just there in a pinch. She’s beautiful, and I love her, and she’s sexy and gorgeous. She’s a great mother, great cook, and great bodyboard surf junkie beach babe. She’s just cool. She’s my best friend. And she’s got a sense of humor!”

7. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness

Jackman and Furness met while working together on a TV series called Corelli. He believes life happens when the cameras are down, and what he has to say off-screen is very charming.

“You (Deborra-Lee) believed in me when I couldn’t. You’ve loved me with a passion and a depth that I didn’t even know existed — and I don’t think I felt that I deserved. You have pushed and encouraged me when I was scared to venture out. You have smiled me into smiling. You have sung me into singing. You have loved me into loving, and like everything I do in my life, I share this with you. I love you,” declared Jackman.

Do you gush over your partner as much as these celebrities do? How do you show it?
