Lautner surprised everyone by finally revealing the correct pronunciation of his name, leaving everyone astonished. What’s even more fascinating is the reason behind the 31-year-old actor’s decision to keep silent and not correct anyone until now.

The big reveal.

In a recent podcast appearance, the Twilight star finally set the record straight about the pronunciation of his name. He clarified, ’’It is technically Lout-ner, but I just never in interviews or anything stopped somebody and said, ’It’s not Lawt-ner. It’s Lout-ner.’’’

Taking full responsibility for the long-standing mispronunciation, Taylor acknowledged, “It is my fault that nobody knows how it’s actually pronounced because I never corrected anybody for decades.”

The actor, renowned for his kindness and laid-back personality, mentioned that hearing his name pronounced incorrectly doesn’t bother him in the slightest. He expressed, ’’I just go with whatever. I don’t care.’’

He was too young to correct people.

Lautner, who embarked on his acting journey in 2001, at the young age of nine, recently opened up about his reasons for not addressing the mistake earlier. He candidly shared that during his early years in the entertainment industry, he experienced a sense of nervousness that prevented him from correcting others and pointing out their errors.

He shared, ’’I think when I was 11, like after Sharkboy and Lavagirl, I wasn’t gonna tell people they were pronouncing my name wrong.’’

Taylor’s humble and caring personality is something we just can’t get enough of. Interestingly, his ex-girlfriend, Taylor Swift, seems to share the same sentiment. During one of her recent performances, she invited him to join her on stage, and her words about him were truly heartwarming. It’s clear that both Taylors consider each other to be among the nicest individuals in the industry.
